Happy anniversary, Roswell, N.M. It was 65 years ago today that the Roswell Daily Record blasted an infamous headline claiming local military officials had captured a flying saucer on a nearby ranch. And now, a former CIA agent says it really happened.

“It was not a damn weather balloon — it was what it was billed when people first reported it,” said Chase Brandon, a 35-year CIA veteran. “It was a craft that clearly did not come from this planet, it crashed and I don’t doubt for a second that the use of the word ‘remains’ and ‘cadavers’ was exactly what people were talking about.”

Brandon served as an undercover, covert operations officer in the agency’s Clandestine Service for 25 years, where he was assigned missions in international terrorism, counterinsurgency, global narcotics trafficking and weapons smuggling. He spent his final 10 years of CIA service on the director’s staff as the agency’s first official liaison to the entertainment and publication industries. It was during this time, in the mid-1990s, that he walked into a special section of CIA headquarters in Langley, Va., called the Historical Intelligence Collection. . . . Read Complete Report

MessageToEagle.com – Thousands of huge ancient structures made of stone are clearly visible from the air.

Their age is estimated to thousands of years and their purpose remains unknown.

These puzzling wheel-shapes, and straight lines, stretch all the way from Syria to Saudi Arabia.

Some call this area the Middle East’s own version of the Nazca Lines.

It is only recently, with help of satellite images that archaeologists have been able to explore this region in more detail.

Since the launch of Google Earth in 2005, archeologists have begun to use the satellite imagery publicly, particularly since its gradual incorporation, beginning in 2007, of high-resolution images. As a result, over some Arab countries-Jordan, Syria and Lebanon particularly-the resolution of available images is now generally high enough to conduct reliable, general archeological surveys.

The Shuway-mas site south of Hayil, Saudi Arabia, which is not even mentioned in the 1998 edition of the Cambridge Illustrated History of Prehistoric Art is the home of one of the four best collections of ancient rock art in the world. Here we find, numerous ancient stone kites, mounds, and tails. . . . Read Complete Report w/photos

Schedule I Prohibitive Status For Pot “Untenable,” Scientists Say

from NORML

Thursday, 05 July 2012

San Diego, CA: The classification of cannabis and its organic compounds as Schedule I prohibited substances under federal law is scientifically indefensible, according to a review published online in The Open Neurology Journal.

Investigators at the University of California at San Diego and the University of California, Davis reviewed the results of several recent clinical trials assessing the safety and efficacy of inhaled or vaporized cannabis. They conclude: “Based on evidence currently available the Schedule I classification is not tenable; it is not accurate that cannabis has no medical value, or that information on safety is lacking.”

Researchers added, “It is true cannabis has some abuse potential, but its profile more closely resembles drugs in Schedule III (where codeine and dronabinol are listed).” . . . Read Complete Report

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Now may be a good time to do a quick check of your computer. The FBI says on Monday, tens of thousands of Americans may lose their Internet service due to a computer virus.

Your computer may have been infected by hackers who figured out a way to redirect your Internet searches to bogus websites for profit.

“We call it DNS changer and it does just what the name implies — it changes DNS settings. So it’s gone in and reconfigured it so that when you go to browse somewhere, it can take you anywhere it wants,” said Kevin Healey, director of Norton Security Response. . . .
