Researchers from the Aalto University in Finland have come up with a novel way of storing information on surfaces using only water. By exploiting the unique way a layer of air behaves on a water-repelling surface flooded with water, they were able to create a system which can store binary information.

The idea for this unique research came from the special properties of the lotus leaf. Lotus leaves are so water repellent that water simply roll off their surface, keeping them perfectly clean. A team of scientists and researchers  from the Aalto University in Finland, the University of Cambridge and the Nokia Research Center, came up with a new concept inspired by the Lotus leaves of writing and displaying information on surfaces using water. . . . Who were the first humans to enter the North American continent? Were they humans who founded what is known as the Clovis culture over 13,000 years ago? Or did other, totally unrelated peoples precede the Clovis immigrants? This issue has been intensely, if not bitterly debated for decades. The Clovis culture has been seen as the cradle of North American indigenous culture. Now new international research shows that people of another culture and technology were present concurrently or even previous to those of Clovis. Scientists have added a new and dramatic chapter to the history of the peopling of the Americas striking a deadly blow to the “Clovis First” theory that has dominated pre-historic American archaeology for so long. The sensational results are published in the international journal Science.

Evidence that a non-Clovis culture was present in North America at least as early as Clovis people themselves and likely before is presented by an international team of researchers from the USA, the UK, and Denmark.

Drug War Cost Clock

caterpiller2

How long are we going to allow out government to throw money down the endless hole of corruption and greed called the “War on Drugs”.

We have been funding the War on Drugs since 1972, and all the situation has done is feed the drug lords and gangs billions of dollars. Why do we ignore, as we learned during liquor prohibition, that the only people who benefit during any prohibition are the bad guys and their politician friends.

Since the drug war started they have not kept anyone in this country from getting even a dime bag. As we all know, there are more drugs in the country in 2012 that there ever was in the 1970. It’s time to put an end to this nonsense, and use the money for education and treatment instead of arrest and jail. . . . EDITOR

Senate To Gut Second Amendment?

800px-111th_US_Senate_class_photo

Boy the elitist internationals do not know what they are heading into when it comes to trying to infringe on our 2nd amendment right.  The United Nations has no right to become involved with our Constitutional rights. Instead of trying to destroy our freedoms by using our own weak politicians, maybe it would be more productive if some of them would go home, give their own people just half of what American’s have,  and solve their own problems. . . . As New York City plays host to a conference that will shape the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) into final form, most 2nd Amendment supporters are concerned that stealth language or overly broad applications woven into the document will serve to separate Americans from their right to keep and bear arms. After all, why else would preliminary versions of the Treaty be so difficult to obtain and U.N. pre-conference position statements remain consistently absent from the internet?

Barack Hussein Obama leads the most anti-gun rights Administration in the nation’s history. Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, and recently appointed ATF Acting Director B. Todd Jones have spoken often and passionately about the importance of implementing more restrictive gun control legislation. . . . Read Complete Report
