A Little Hidden History: Rick Osmon on “Expanded Perspectives”

 

A recent podcast about hidden history and some hypothesis regarding precolumbian transatlantic commerce and colonization. Rick Osmon appeared on “Expanded Perspectives” to discuss his research into who might have left behind various ancient works in North America (and a few other places). Also, why is such research so controversial?

Is there a deeply rooted and concerted effort to suppress some evidence of ancient colonization from the Old World in North America? Is the US following suit of previous regimes to hide something that would impact the “legal status” of US sovereignty? Some of the sites were ideal terrain for military emplacements and were described as such by 18th and 19th antiquarians, but today’s crop of anthropologists and archaeologists totally ignore the militant aspects in favor of “ceremonial” descriptions. Is there some secret they simply can’t afford to let loose?

The waste of edible food by consumers, retailers, and manufacturers poses a
significant burden to the American food system. Wasted food costs consumers
and industry money; squanders important natural resources that are used to
grow, process, distribute, and store America’s food supply; and represents a missed opportunity to feed the millions of food insecure households in the United States that are struggling to access healthy, affordable food. Back in the mid 1960’s I worked as a pressman in a printing company and we had to take turns taking lunch; half the workers would man the presses while the other half took their break… The only way I agreed to take the job was if my lunch-time had included the time when the late Paul Harvey’s show was on the radio.

Then in the 1970’s I was working construction in the L.A. area. I always took my lunch break so I could listen to the incredibly funny comedy team of  “Hudson & Landry” who had a live daily call-in show. I also bought the 45 record of this essay.

Here are two cases of public warnings by radio personalities of the day warning of our country’s ultimate destruction if we kept heading in the direction we are heading. Few listened. They are  two essay’s from the past we MUST HEAR today!
