Check out for yourself what Obama might have seen if he had not refused Gov. Perry’s offer of a tour of the Texas/Mexico Border. Obama was in Austin on a fundraiser. Obama told the Texas Governor that he did not need to go to the border. (It was 250 miles away). He then flew off to another big-money Texas fundraiser.

“We’ve got the border under control” was the sound bite from President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden but when push came to shove the Administration refused to answer the question, Is the Border Secure?

They might have been able to answer that question more clearly had our leader gone down and eyeballed what I believe to be one of our major problems. . . . . EDITOR

President Obama‘s failing gun control campaign peppered the air waves with the slogan “If we can save just one life.”  However, when it comes to the estimated 17,000 annual deaths from illegal drugs flowing over our porous southern border with Mexico, the President is remarkably silent. President Obama’s four years of border control failures have led to the deaths of tens of thousands of American men, women and children.

The President does not have the legal power to legislate gun control for any purpose even if it sounds honorable. However, Obama does have a legal obligation to protect American citizens and secure the US borders. Since Obama took office, Mexican drug cartels have moved record loads of illegal drugs, relatively unencumbered, across the US southern border. The current year’s data is not available, but based upon 2010 data; these trafficked drugs have killed over twice as many Americans (over 17,000) as those taken in firearm homicides (8036). In fact, in 2010 there were more illicit drug use deaths in America then accidental non-lethal firearms shootings. . . . Read Complete Report

Man seeks to stage around-the-world blimp race

By Marina Csomor, Special to CNN

updated 12:33 PM EDT, Fri August 17, 2012

(CNN) — Don Hartsell knows his idea could be considered crazy.

“I thought this project was so large, so ambitious, that no one would take me seriously,” says the Texas resident and aircraft enthusiast. “In fact, I was concerned they would think I was insane.”

Hartsell is talking about his World Sky Race, which as conceived would be a grand global spectacle. If all goes according to plan, a fleet of airships will take off from London in 2014 and race each other around the world, watched by millions of spectators, before finishing six months later just outside of Paris.

The event is planned as a series of 18 back-to-back races that will circumnavigate the globe. Although the route isn’t finalized, the proposed path will take pilots over at least four continents and about 130 United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) World Heritage sites — among them the Egyptian pyramids, the Taj Mahal, the Statue of Liberty and the Palace of Versailles. . . . US Military Adds Blimps to Patrol Border

By

Published August 15, 2012

With the United States’ conflicts in the Arab world drawing to a close, the government is using some of the technology honed on battlefields overseas on the home front.

Over the next few weeks, the U.S. military will begin to test a 72-foot-long, unmanned surveillance blimp in southern Texas that could be used to spot drug traffickers and undocumented immigrants entering the U.S. via its border with Mexico. Read Complete Report

An end to the border wars?

Sounds like the time George W. Bush stood on that aircraft carrier in front of a giant banner reading the same two words that he stated to rousting applause on the deck below: ” Mission Accomplished.” How many years ago was that?

And as for the End of the Border Wars . . . don’t forget  the drug part of this bloody war. Still think it’s over? . . . EDITOR

Vast wave of illegals leaving

By Michael Barone

The illegal immigration problem is going away.

That’s the conclusion I draw from the latest report of the Pew Hispanic Center on Mexican immigration to the United States.

Pew’s demographers have carefully combed through statistics compiled by the US Census Bureau, the Department of Homeland Security and the Mexican government, and have come up with estimates of the flow of migrants from and back to Mexico. Their work seems to be as close to definitive as possible.

They conclude that from 2005 to 2010 some 1.39 million people came from Mexico to the United States and 1.37 million went from the US to Mexico. “The largest wave of immigration in history from a single country to the United States,” they write, “has come to a standstill.” . . . A wide range of public organizations—from the military to local law enforcement—are allowed to fly drones in American skies.

A broad array of organizations are authorized to fly drones within U.S. borders, ranging from defense contractors, to universities, and even a Midwest town with a population of less than 2,500 people.

The Federal Aviation Administration released a list of 63 authorized launch sites last week after a Freedom of Information Act request was filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Using the information gathered from the FAA, the EFF put together a map that shows where authorized domestic unmanned aerial vehicles are being launched from. . . . Read Complete Report

Border Wars Extending into United States. First Move – Decapitations

As we have said all along the trouble along our border with Mexico is all part of the Controllers plan to create their North American Union. Although Obama says that there is no problem on the border, most Americans and ALL Mexicans know that to be untrue. We also have said that if  something isn’t done about the violence along the Mexican border it will spread into the United States. Well it has and in the worst way. . . . EDITOR

Expert Says Beheadings in U.S. Look Like Work of Cartels

Three beheadings in two different states and they happened here in the United States, not Mexico.

Former DEA supervisor Phil Jordan says all three beheadings have cartel written all over them. They happened in Arizona and Oklahoma in the past year.

A murder mystery is now unraveling on a stretch of North Reservation Road in Tucson, Ariz. County workers found a headless man lying on the side of the road Jan. 6. The man’s hands and feet were reportedly missing, too.

“It would lead me to believe the message wanted to be sent. This is one of the ways they do it in Mexico, Colombia and other places,” says Jordan.

Jordan says the cartels are getting bolder in carrying out their beheadings across the border. He says we only used to see these crimes in Mexico.

“They don’t have any borders,” says Jordan. . . . Read complete report w/video

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, Texas (AP) — The bloody drug war in Mexico shows no sign of relenting. Neither do calls for tighterborder security amid rising fears of spillover violence.

This hardly seems a time the U.S. would be willing to allow people to cross the border legally from Mexico without a customs officerin sight. . . . Continue
