Colorado to scrub civil disobedience from history

youtube by RT America

Published on Sep 30, 2014

A current proposal from a board in Colorado’s second largest school district reads, ”
Materials should promote citizenship, patriotism, essentials and benefits of the free enterprise system, respect for authority and respect for individual rights.” It goes on to say that “material condoning civil disorder, social strife or disregard for the law should be removed from the history classroom.” Students and teachers are now protesting while the board calls the whole thing a misunderstanding. Former FEMA director Joe Allbaugh, who took the reins of Gov. Rick Perry’s 2012 presidential campaign just as it was going into a nosedive, has jumped into a potentially more stable and long-term endeavor: legal marijuana.

4th grader sells pot in northern Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — School officials in northern Colorado are asking parents to take care with their newly legal recreational marijuana, after fourth graders were caught dealing the drug on an elementary school campus.

John Gates, director of safety for Weld County School District 6, said Wednesday that the students involved, three 10-year-old boys and a 10-year-old girl at Greeley’s Monfort Elementary School, faced tough discipline but not suspension or expulsion. He would not elaborate on their punishment.

Colorado Rockies Baseball Team To Sell Marijuana Brownies At Their Concession Stands

From: empiresports.co

With the new laws in effect in Colorado, major sports organizations are looking for ways to cash in on the newest legal cash crop in the state.

Sources are reporting that Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies plan to sell food items which contain marijuana at concession stands during games next season.

The first item on the list?  Pot Brownies.

An inside source with the organization said that it appears that the strain of marijuana that will be used in the making of the marijuana brownies will be Durango Bango which is considered to be the very best weed in the Rocky Mountain State.

Editor’s Note: I am not a fan of professional sports, not since Larry Bird was playing anyway. Nor am I a fan of municipalities taxing citizens to build sports stadiums. However, if I recall my ancient history, Rome debated the sale or distribution of inebriating substances at the gladiatorial games in order to appease overtaxed Roman citizens. Rome still fell apart and it nothing at all to do with the citizens being too stoned to function, rather, the leaders were too greedy to be good managers of public resources.

If a beer is eight or ten bucks at the ballpark, how much will pot brownies cost?

Obama: Pot is not more dangerous than alcohol

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama said he doesn’t think marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol, “in terms of its impact on the individual consumer.”

“As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol,” the president said an interview with “The New Yorker” magazine. READ MORE

Smoking marijuana is “not something I encourage, and I’ve told my daughters I think it’s a bad idea, a waste of time, not very healthy,” Obama said.

Marijuana use for adults 21 and over is legal in Colorado and Washington, but any wannabe toking tourists headed here from other countries might want to keep quiet about it until they get here.

According to reports in the Canadian press, simply admitting to a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent that you’ve smoked pot or that you plan to smoke pot apparently can get you turned away at the border — and perhaps permanently banned from the good ol’ U.S. of A because marijuana is still illegal under federal laws. . .  Read Complete Report

By William Breathes in HempNews Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10:20 am

Back in October, we shared with you the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s draft regulations for the growing of industrial hemp. Now, those regulations are official — with one change. Instead of facing a registration suspension or revocation if testing reveals that a grower’s plants exceed 0.3 percent THC, the final rules say that a grower will not be subject to any penalty as long as the “crop is destroyed or utilized in a manner approved of and verified by” the state agriculture commissioner.

Keep reading for the full list of hemp regulations. . . . Read Complete Report

Marijuana: Colorado NORML finds timing of pot raids suspicious
