A US drone strike kills seven in Yemen. A U-S drone strike kills six in Pakistan. US drone strikes in Afghanistan continues. Does the U-S have legal rights or mandate to conduct these strikes? A US govt. spokesperson has said that the U-S drone war could last forever. In this edition of the debate, we’ll discuss US’s drone wars, many aspects of which are shrouded in secrecy, and why does it continue only in Muslim countries. And when it comes to Afghanistan, we’ll ask our guests why it continues in that country when the US had stated it would end that war this year.

Feds Announce Test Sites for Drone Aircraft

LAS VEGAS – The Federal Aviation Administration announced six states on Monday that will develop test sites for drones, a critical next step for the march of the unmanned aircraft into U.S. skies.

Two organizations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, released reports investigating multiple US drone strikes in Yemen and Pakistan. According to their findings, drone strikes were indiscriminate and led to the death of multiple civilians, which is a clear violation of international law. The organizations called for the White House to release its legal justification for these killings and for those responsible to be held accountable. RT’s Sam Sacks reports.
