Recently obtained by The Associated Press through the Freedom of Information Act, the updated FBI files do show the extent the agency was monitoring Monroe for ties to communism in the years before her death in August 1962. Extremely rare footage and images of Marilyn Monroe in May of 1962. The images in this clip show Marilyn rehearsing for her now famous performance of “Happy Birthday,” sung to President John F. Kennedy during the Presidential Birthday Gala at Madison Square Garden on May 19, 1962. The candid footage shows Marilyn wearing the same outfit from rehearsals, traveling from and to Madison Square Garden, and entering and leaving her NYC apartment at 444 East 57th Street. Pat Newcomb, Marilyn’s publicist, travels with her in the limousine.

The latest announcement of recording capabilities being installed in American buses via their already invasive CCTV cameras has me hopping mad. It’s just sick. Yet the most astounding thing is the vast majority will swallow it as a needed feature to help fight terrorism.

After all, they have nothing to hide. They’re not doing diddly squat to stand up to anything, and have no intention to. “Obey..Obey” is what they hear.

Every possible 1984ish scenario immediately jumps into your mind as the slow mo intro of all this techno mumbo jumbo is laid on a naive and unsuspecting, weakened public.
