UPDATE: Why Businessman, Politician Support Pot (Video Report)

I think I’ll weigh in on that. Why would someone with so much money and power be willing to go out on a limb and tell the world  that he plans on putting up millions with aims of building a worldwide outlet for a substance that can not be sold over most of the world legally. Is he crazy?   Is he having ‘high’ pipe dreams? Does he know something we don’t?

I believe the answer is none of the above. I just thank he has done his home work. After all, the major argument for the rationalization for making the  possession etc. of the hemp plant a felony with long prison sentences is the claim that “There is no medical benefit for the drug.”

With 19 states, and more talking about making medical marijuana legal that no longer holds true.  And when you throw in the fact that the Federal Government has been supplying patients with medical marijuana since the 1970’s, a good lawyer can tear the government’s argument out by the roots!

And without that argument the whole conspiracy against hemp will fall like a row of dominoes. . . . EDITOR

Sheriff Killed For 2nd Amendment Support? Has ‘War’ Been Declared On Law-Abiding Sheriffs & Politicians In America?

Thursday, April 4, 2013 18:43

Was Mingo County, West Virginia Sheriff Eugene Crum assassinated because of his support of the 2nd Amendment and the US Constitution? It sure seems to me like an AWFUL LOT of 2nd Amendment supporters have been ‘whacked’ lately. What are they doing, getting CIA patsy’sto knock-off law abiding 2nd Amendment supporters one by one? We KNOW FOR A FACTthat the CIA has had the ‘technology’ to program MKUltra assassins since AT LEAST 1954; don’t believe it?  Check out the document below! Something is TERRIBLY WRONG in Barack Obama’s America! How long will America continue to allow these assassinations and the gutting of our Constitution to go on? Please pray for the family of Eugene Crum. . . .  Read complete Report

Pro-Second Amendment supporters dying — conspiracy or coincidence? *UPDATED*

 on Feb 10 2013 at 5:13 pm

I stopped taking The New Yorker seriously many years ago.  Even before I crossed the political Rubicon, I started finding its articles, especially Toobin’s legal analyses, silly.  Nevertheless, there was one article that stuck in my mind. Unfortunately, I only remember the overarching principles in the article, rather than the salient facts that would allow me to locate it again.

The story began by telling how elderly Finnish twin brothers were killed within an hour of each other, with each having been struck down by a car while riding a bicycle.  The whole thing sounded highly suspicious, until one started looking at further details:  the men always rode bicycles, they were riding during a busy time on a road shared with heavy traffic, and there was a snowstorm taking place, severely affecting visibility.  Rather than it being the unlikely case of twins dying in the same way at the same time, it became the likely case of bicyclists being hit by cars while biking on a main road during a white-out. . . $1 million more for marijuana legalization campaign — and support from King County sheriff

from The Seattle Times

he campaign to legalize recreational marijuana has received two new boosts: another $1 million in donations, and a vote of approval from King County Sheriff Steve Strachan.

The biggest donation to Initiative 502 came from Progressive Insurance founder and marijuana-legalization advocate Peter Lewis. His $670,000 donation last week brings his total contribution to $1.55 million, more than a third of I-502′s total contribution of nearly $4 million.

Those contributions allowed I-502 to buy about $700,000 in TV airtime the last week before the election, said campaign manager Alison Holcomb. Those ads will differ from I-502′s first round of TV ads, which featured a middle-aged woman who declared she “didn’t really like” marijuana, but that it was time for “a conversation” about legalizing it.

Strachan, who is running for election, said Monday he would vote for I-502, which would “bring clarity” to the conflicting state and federal laws regarding marijuana. “I think the current situation is bad for the rule of law, bad for the criminal justice system and and it sends a bad message to our kids.” . . . Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan On Medical Marijuana: “I Support States’ Rights”

WOW! First time I’ve heard a major candidate even mention States Rights in this election, except of course Ron Paul . . . EDITOR

In a clear departure from his more socially conservative top-of-the-ticket running mate Mitt Romney, vice presidential candidate Congressman Paul Ryan, in an interview this afternoon on KRDO in Colorado Springs, when confronted with a question about whether or not he supported patients in Colorado having legal access to cannabis for medical purposes, Ryan said that although he personally opposes medical cannabis use he would defer to the judgement of each state to make up its own mind on the issue.

Of course, Representative Ryan’s public policy position, as articulated here, is not much different in scope or tone from what George W. Bush and President Barack Obama claimed too when running for president, only to commit significant Department of Justice resources in closing down hundreds of otherwise lawful, state-compliant medical cannabis dispensaries. . . .
