The new movie 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' is advertised as, 'a place which few people believe in and even fewer have visited.' Very true! No doubt they will make this film as far-fetched as possible, to make the theory sound preposterous. Although, the truth or the matter is stranger than fiction. Glad to hear the expedition is still on schedule. I can't think of a better time to be leaving the surface world.

Hi Hazel,
Glad to hear from you. Actually there were a couple of reasons I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this movie. As a researcher of anything having to do with the inner realms of our planet I am always curious about any production featuring that area of our world. But I had a second reason that, to me, was just as important. I am a 3D nut! One Saturday in 1954 my younger brother and I made our usual weekend trip to the movie theatre. The film playing that Saturday was, The Creature From the Black Lagoon in 3 D or Three dimensional. I came out of that theatre an 11 year old junkie. I was hooked on 3D. Since then I've gone to every 3D movie ever made. I became an avid collector of anything 3D. Comics, magazines, gum-cards, posters and anything else having to do with 3D that I could get my hands on became part of my collection. So when I found out that they were remaking this great Jules Verne story using a new 3D process naturally I started counting the days.

The first thing I noticed was the glasses used to create the 3D effect. They were no longer the old hard-to-see-through and uncomfortable cardboard 2 different color-lenses type specs. These are all plastic with gray polarized lenses which look like a pair of cheap flea market sunglasses. To my surprise they were actually comfortable to wear.

The difference in the end result of this new process of 3D as compared to the old black and white, or I should say "red and blue" is like night and day. Now you see the action in full color. And unlike past 3D productions the changes in depth perception you usually notice during the switching from one scene to another aren't noticed at all. After a very short period of time you forget about glasses and 3D and just set back and enjoy the movie . . . and dodge stuff!

As for how believable the story line would be to be truful I wasn't expecting a lot. I haven't been very happy with any of the many movies made up to this point when It came to visualizing this wonderful 1864 Jules Verne story. But for once I was in for a surprise. Not that they gave a lot of support to the Inner Earth World question. In fact the theories were hardly mentioned. But they spent absolutely no time dis-ing anything either.

The whole story is centered around Trevor Anderson, who teaches Earth Sciences at the university. When his nephew Sean comes to stay with him Trevor also receives a box of stuff that had belonged to his late brother, Max Anderson. Max had recently installed a world-wide system of volcanic activity monitoring stations. During a trip to Iceland Max had disappeared.

In the box of Max's things was a dog-eared, obviously well read paperback copy of Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth." As he examined the book Trevor found that the print was heavily underlined with the margins completely filled with notes, mathematical equations, and drawings in Max's handwriting. Much of it seemed to have been written in a secret code. Upon studying the notes etc. Trevor finds clues that lead him to believe that he can pick up his brothers trail in Iceland.

So it's off to Iceland. Trevor knew the name of one of Max's colleagues who lived in Iceland so he hoped to get a lead from him.

Upon reaching Iceland they find that their tentative contact was also missing and presumed dead but they meet his beautiful young daughter who just happened to be a local mountain guide. At this point we find out that both Max and Hannah's father shared a belief in an unorthodox theory. The two professors believed that the Jules Verne book was a firsthand journal kept during an actual expedition deep into the earth's interior. They believed that there are a system of ancient lava flow tunnels, hollow cavities and caves that interconnected throughout our planet. They were positive that if you found your way through this system of labyrinths you could reach the center of the earth and explore previously unexplored inner lands that existed there. Hannah made sure that the others knew she thought the whole idea preposterous, Max was being more open minded and Sean … well, Sean was having his own problems.

The area where most journey-to-the-center movies fall on their butts is the method of travel used to access these inner lands. Even in it's day the 1959 version stretched their audiences indulgence almost to a breaking point with the spotlessly clean wardrobe worn by the cast from beginning to end as they WALKED into the heart of the great unknown. Of course no one notice back then because those were the yellow-brick-road-Technicolor days in movies. It wasn't until 'the man with no name' rode into town that wardrobes and movie sets took on that grubby realistic look of today. And speaking of action heroes, do you think they would have gotten away with casting wussy Pat Boone as an action hero today? And how 'bout his sidekick? A duck named Gertrude. Aw, come on!

Then there was the 1999 made for TV mini-series from Hallmark. It would be totally forgettable were it not for the totally asinine why the screen writers of that bad script sent them on their way. They had a crane hoist the explorer/driller machine over the crater of an active volcano and then dropped them. I was totally disgusted even before they splashed into the liquid center of molten lava.

Upon leaving the theatre I realized that, although the movie was a little short on story line it was long on fun. I actually HAD been right there with our heroes as they made their journey to the center of the earth. And to top it all off I get to keep these cool Men-in Black shades.

NASA Claims Polar Shift Due In 2012

Written by Administrator Friday, 09 December 2005 Solar System - Did you notice? In February 2001, the Sun did a magnetic polar shift. The next one is due again in 2012. NASA scientists who monitor the Sun say that our star's awesome magnetic field flipped 22 months ago, signaling the arrival of a solar maximum. But it wasn't so obvious to the average human. The Sun's magnetic north pole, which was in the northern hemisphere just a few months ago, now points south....

I first learned of the doomsday theory of a possible drastic movement of the Earth in 1980 when I read Pole Shift by John White, a book I believe still contains the best research information available on the subject. When I came across the information included at the beginning of this report concerning the recent unusual activity going on in the interior of our planet, I decided to dust off the old book and give it another read.

In the introduction to Pole Shift Mr. White explains that his goal in writing this book was to try and open the eyes of both the people and the scientific community of the impending threat of a possible polar shifting of our planet. As he warned;

Also called 'axis flip' or a 'shifting of the poles,' the concept underlying these terms is that a sudden and radical displacement of the planets axis of rotation or --an altering view among pole shift theorists -- a slippage of the planet's solid crust over the molten interior -- so that the pole locations change. This 'pole shift' means an event in which the North and South poles move -- as much as 180 degrees according to some sources -- either because our planet tumbles in space, changing it's angular position to the sun, or because the geographical points on the surface of the planet marking it's spinning axis are shifted due to crustal slippage. The time involved is said by some sources to vary from a few days to as little as four hours.

Long time Hollow Earth researcher/writer Ruth Leedy, writing under her pin name Flora Benson in her extremely rare book, Hollow Earth Apocalypse (1985) covered how the pole shift would figure using a hollow earth as her model. Her research indicates that the time it would take the complete flip would be a more gradual occurrence and could take as many as several years. Of course, the truth is yet to be known.
Exactly what might happen to our world if such a thing were to actually happen was graphically described by John White in the above named book. He calls it the ultimate disaster. In more detail he reported;

Enormous tidal waves would roll across the continents as the oceans became displaced from their basins. Electrical storms with hurricane winds of hundreds of miles per hour would sweep the planet. Tremendous earthquakes and lava flows would wrack the land. Poisonous gases and ash would fill the skies. Geography would be altered as seabed's rose and land masses submerged. Climates would change instantly. And if the shift was less than a full end-over-end, the polar icecaps, exposed to strong sunlight by having moved out of the frigid zones, would melt rapidly -- within a few thousand years at most -- while, new icecaps would begin to build at the new polar locations. Last of all, huge numbers of organisms would be destroyed including people. ...

Probably the best known and certainly the most controversial psychic of all time was Edgar Cayce (1877-1945). whose records and predictions are now in the hands of the Association for Research and Enlightenment(ARE) founded in 1931 by Mr. Cayce.. So many of his predictions have come true over the years that there is no doubt that he had the power. John White tells us that:

...according to the Cayce readings, the Pole Shift will be preceded by increasingly severe seismic disturbances on a global scale, resulting in vast changes in the planets geography. Through earthquakes and volcanic action, through elevation and submergence of land, and through flooding, a new face would be given to the Earth.

Some say that 2012 marks the end of the world, but many more say that it is a new beginning. Nostradamus wrote that he sees to the year 3797! The biblical Revelation sees a time when all evil will be banded from the world, and that period will last for a thousand years! And though the Mayan and Aztec artifacts do not tell of a time beyond the Age of Movement, their ancestors carry a tale of two more Ages to follow the Age of Movement. They are the Age of the Spirit of All Living Things, followed by the Age of the Return to Oneness. Indicating that there is much left to do and much soul growth to realize and make our own.

When asked what the New Age means to humanity, Edgar Cayce replied: "the full consciousness of the ability to communicate with the Creative Forces and be aware of the relationships to the Creative Forces and the uses of same in
material environs. This awareness during the era or age in the Age of Atlantis and Lemuria or Mu brought what? Destruction to man, and his beginning of the needs of the journey up through that of selfishness." (1602-3)

Cayce is informing us that in a previous time cycle, humanity had a level of consciousness and relationship with the Creative Forces that allowed us to live at higher levels of material, mental, and spiritual activity in the Earth and
beyond. Unfortunately, we misused this consciousness and the power that came with the close relationship to the Forces. This misuse brought on the destruction of our great cultures and a long, karmic soul journey through the pain and confusion that resulted from our selfishness and self-centered focus on our will without regard for the will of the Creator and others. Now, as the cycles come around again, we are nearing a time when the level of consciousness
and relationship with the Creative Forces will allow us once again to regain these powers.


So according to Mr. Cayce it might not be all bad. Right! When pigs fly.. and believ me when t a global tilt happens pigs will fly . . .along with everything else. Simple law of nature. And what goes up must come down

Lets look a little deeper into this theory..

I first heard the date 12/22/2012 while researching the NORTHWARD MIGRATION of the ancient Americans [See Secret Underground Tunnels Past & Present:The Meso-American Connection ] but it wasn't until years later, after reading a book by Adrian G. Gilbert & Maurice M. Cotterall, The Mayan Prophecies (1996) that It begin to dawn on me the importance of this date. The Author’s tell us that …

[The Mayan's] were expert astronomers. They believed that they were living in the fifth age of the sun; that prior to the creation of modern men there had been four previous races and four previous ages. These had all been destroyed in great cataclysms, leaving few survivors to tell the tale. According to Mayan chronology, the present age started on 12 August 3112 BC and is to end on 22 December 2012. At that time the Earth as we know it is again to be destroyed by catastrophic earthquakes.

It gets better. According to a recent TV special on the History Channel on Pole Shift, not only the Mayan and Edgar Cayce find the date significant.. The Sibylline Prophecies, who's most famous prediction was --- the coming of Christ, the Prophecies of Merlin, the Hopi Prophecies along with many lesser known oracles.

I personally have problems with people predicting things. I know there are those who can do such things, but I believe they are few and far between. Yet, in this case, with so MANY sources predicting a pole flip on 12/22/2012 I decided to start the countdown timer at the beginning of this report. Hopefully we'll be able to laugh it off once we see that timer reach 00/00/000 . The only other thing I hope is that if we ARE still around after our timer reaches all those zeros that we will still be allowed to communicate the fact to each other. Only time will tell,in the mean time, live it to the max...
