Aaron, a hero of the internet and a legend among men, was targeted by a corrupt system that sought to make an example out of him. He faced a harsher punishment than murderers, robbers, child pornographers, or even terrorist sympathizers! All for doing nothing more than downloading academic articles.
The story of Aaron is only scratching the surface. We have seen how the law is wielded less and less to uphold justice, and more and more to exercise control, authority and power in the interests of oppression or personal gain. We have felt within our hearts a burning rage in reaction to these events.
It is our goal to alter this absurd system. Many voices have been speaking out or taking to protests. We must unite ourselves into an overwhelming chorus so that we me reform this profligate system. Where this is Unity, there is Victory.

Hacktivist group Anonymous has announced it will take down Facebook and release Zynga’s games for free download on 5 November if the latter does not backtrack on alleged plans to lay off 1,000 employees and outsource work.
News of the Guy Fawkes Night attack, #OP MaZynga, came a week after online gaming giant Zynga announced a five percent employee cull and the closure of its Boston office — employees at its Austin branch were given two hours to clean out their desks while the world’s attention was distracted by Apple’s iPad mini unveiling on 23 October. Zynga also indicated its British and Japanese offices might close, and there are plans to switch maintenance of The Ville to its India base. Last month, a controversial anonymous letter entitled “The Secret Meeting That Changed Rap Music and Destroyed a Generation” hit the internet by storm. The letter, which claims that an unnamed top music industry executive promoted gangsta rap to fill private prisons, was republished by hundreds of blogs and websites, and was reposted on countless forums, Twitter, and Facebook profiles. Everyone from Public Enemy’s Chuck D to Freeway Ricky Ross had something to say about it. Various YouTube videos were posted to discuss the anonymous letter, and translations of the letter were posted in French, Spanish, and other languages for international audiences. The Huffington Post even published a critique questioning the validity of the claims made by the anonymous author who, fearing for his wellbeing, provided no names or details that might reveal his identity.. . . UPDATE: 5/18/12. Ol’ Eagle Eye Rick noticed that the dateline on this article is actually a year old. Strange. The original posting (ANONYMOUS MESSAGE TO NASA ABOUT ETS (Video Message)) carries the date 5/1/20. I thought this story was a follow up. Is the date on this article right? Was an ANONYMOUS “hoax” exposed a year before being announced by the “group.”? Or was the announcement by ANONYMOUS posted a year late. If you know please post the answer. (I’m confused. If you aren’t familiar with who Anonymous is, then let me quickly fill you in. Anonymous is the name of an online group of people that come from all walks of life and stand for social justice. Online or offline. This group of people are made up of ‘hacktivists’ and the curious. But besides the political aspect, they also do things for the “lulz”. Meaning that the group of talented anonymous users like to stage big elaborate pranks.
Operation UFO is one of their latest pranks. On May 22nd, 2011 at around 8:00 pm EST the operation is set to commence. The plan is simple, flood UFO websites with fake reports of a triangular UFO. Then just sit back and watch the world go crazy. LOL.
