The staff at the National Declassification Center in College Park, Md., knew they found something interesting when they cracked open a cardboard box and saw cutaway schematics of flying saucers printed on the pages. The pages describe an Air Force flying saucer program that started in the mid-1950’s and ended in 1961. In the upper right hand of each page was the icon of a flying disc stamped over a red arrow, the insignia of Project 1794.

Last week, the NDC staff released a summary report from the project, dated 1956, and the global media went into a frenzy. The documents related to a flying saucer program by a Canadian firm, Avro Aircraft, that the U.S. military funded. Back then, the Air Force wanted a supersonic fighter while the Army wanted a flying jeep. In the end, after $10 million, the saucer was nothing more than a glorified, 18-ft-diameter hovercraft that lost control and stability after it rose above its 5 foot cushion of air. (It’s never a good idea to build an aircraft with an aerodynamic center far from its center of gravity.) . . . Read Complete Report w/link to complete Project 1794 file.

UFO Memo Is FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ Record (W/Video)

From Live Science

The FBI says its most viewed public record is a memo from 1950 recounting a strange story someone told an agent about three “flying saucers” that were allegedly recovered in New Mexico.

The so-called Hottel memo was first released in the late 1970s under the Freedom of Information Act, but it’s been viewed nearly a million times since 2011, when the FBI launched an online database of public records called the Vault. . . . Read Complete Report

How to Build a FLYING SAUCER
How to Build a FLYING SAUCER – Recently declassified records from the Aeronautical Systems Division, USAF (RG 342 – Records of United States Air Force Commands, Activities, and Organizations) reveal some surprising, perhaps never-before-seen images.
The [featured] illustration was discovered in the pages of a document titled “Project 1794, Final Development Summary Report” (d.1956) The caption reads “USAF Project 1794”. However, the Air Force had contracted the work out to a Canadian company, Avro Aircraft Limited in Ontario, to construct the disk-shaped craft. According to the same report, it was designed to be a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) plane designed to reach a top speed of Mach 4, with a ceiling of over 100,000 feet, and a range of over 1,000 nautical miles. . . . Officially, aliens have never existed but flying saucers very nearly did. The National Archives has recentlypublished never-before-seen schematics and details of a 1950s military venture, called Project 1794, which aimed to build a supersonic flying saucer.

The newly declassified materials show the U.S. Air Force had a contract with a now-defunct Canadian company to build an aircraft unlike anything seen before. Project 1794 got as far as the initial rounds of product development and into prototype design. In a memo dating from 1956 the results from pre-prototype testing are summarized and reveal exactly what the developers had hoped to create.

The saucer was supposed to reach a top speed of “between Mach 3 and Mach 4, a ceiling of over 100,000 ft. and a maximum range with allowances of about 1,000 nautical miles,” according to the document. . . Read Complete Report

from the Files of THEI

Here is something of interest to someone I’m sure. The schematics  below have been in THEI files for at least 30 years and came from the US Patent Office. They were filed by an employee of Lockheed on Jan. 23, 1953. And accepted Dec. 10,1963 by an the US Patent office.

The plans describe the craft as a “AVRO High Velocity High Altitude Aircraft.” SOURCE U.S. Patent Office, Washington D.C.

I have the cover letter that explains the claims. I will pass them along with paper copies of these two pages to serious investigator’s only. . . . EDITOR

Top secret! Atomic Testing Museum pulls back the curtain on Area 51 (w/ full Area 51 video)

Well, this is interesting. There’s an alien lying on a hospital bed and a larger-than-life wall-sized photo of Lonnie Hammargren dressed in medical scrubs behind it. The implication here is that Dr. Hammargren, former Lieutenant Governor and neurosurgeon, conducted alien autopsies. It’s a little joke thrown in by the Atomic Testing Museum for its Area 51: Myth or Reality exhibit.

Naturally, a Department of Energy-mounted exhibit of its legendary desert laboratory northwest of Las Vegas is going to have fun with extra-terrestrial fascination. Given the intrigue of Area 51, it makes sense they’d tip a hat to little green men and flying saucers through references to UFO sightings throughout history, newspaper and radio clips of the 1947 crash in Roswell, New Mexico, and even a George Knapp room. . . . The hacking group Anonymous claims to have info on UFO and alien life or not

The controversial hacker group Anonymous appears to have moved past its role of hacking into government systems. Now the group has supposedly released a video that says “we are not alone.” In the coming weeks, they are said to be planning to release evidence of extra terrestrial beings that have been on the planet Earth since the early 1900s. The group’s posting said that the “truth” of the aliens are much more intricate than simple UFOs and flying saucers. Apparently within a few days Anonymous will release information about aliens interacting with mankind.

The message from the group said, “Greetings citizens of the world. We now have the knowledge of the illuminati and we will share this information with you. . . . read complete report

America’s Top Secret Bases

From Thank About It Website

Fifty years ago, an American pilot called Kenneth Arnold saw nine discs in the sky over Area 51 in Nevada, where the US military tests high-tech aircraft. (Actually Arnold saw the unidentified craft near Mt. Rainer in Washington State . . . EDITOR) The term ’flying saucer’ was born – and with it, a whole new subculture which believes that alien life is not only somewhere out there, but also here (indeed, probably in Area 51), ready to take over the world.

Highway 93 winds through the Nevada Desert. There are no cars, no houses, no nothing, just sage brush and dust devils and a lunar landscape of grey mountains creeping into a never-ending distance. At junction 375 a signpost says “Extraterrestrial Highway”. The driver has strayed from normal space-time co-ordinates and is heading towards Rachel, the town that thinks of itself as the UFO capital of the world.

Rachel is, in fact, a very small trailer park whose significance arises from the fact that it sits on the border of Area 51. This vast mass of desert land has been central to the UFO myth since, 50 years ago, a pilot named Kenneth Arnold spotted nine discs over Mount Rainer and the term ’Flying Saucer’ was born.

People have never accepted that Area 51 is merely a highly classified military site devoted to testing high-tech aircraft. In 1988 it was claimed on TV that aliens lived there and, furthermore, they enjoyed eating ice-cream and listening to Tibetan Music.

A year later, an individual named, Bob Lazar presented himself and announced that, when working as a physicist on the base, he had seen several flying saucers parked in hangers. Patrol guards carrying guns, surveillance cameras and notices saying that “USE OF DEADLY FORCE IS AUTHORIZED” have done much much to fan an interesting aura of secrecy.

Consequently, Area 51 also known as Dreamland has become a mecca for the subversive, the hacker and those who have seen far too many episodes of the X-Files. . . complete report
