Congressman Leonard Lance (R-NJ) has come out and demanded that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano explain why the Department of Homeland Security has been engaging in huge amounts of purchases of ammunition over the past year. Rep. Lance has called on Congress to get involved in ascertaining DHS’ stockpiling of ammunition which is enough to wage a 20 year plus war, which has most certainly caused a shortage in the public market. . . . NJ Congressman Leonard Lance (R – 7th District) says that Janet Napolitano must explain to Congress why the DHS has purchased 1.6 billion bullets and 2700 armored vehicles for domestic use. The purchase of thousands of fully automatic rifles for the DHS should also be explained. Note that these are described as “personal defense weapons”, while less lethal weapons in the hands of US citizens are described as “assault rifles”. He made this statement at the Morristown Tea Party Organization 4th anniversary gathering, Friday, March 15th at the Whippany, NJ VFW.

At CPAC, Luke Rudkowski interviewed Congressman Timothy Huelscamp on his decision to vote against the NDAA which was due to the unconstitutionality of the indefinite detention provision. They also discussed Obama’s Disposition Matrix and the large ammunition purchases made by the DHS.
