I read Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison (Amazon link) when it first came out and it has remained one of my favorite science fiction books of all time and the movie Soylent Green is, in my opinion, one of the best science fiction movies ever made.
If you would like to see the movie before watching the discussion on the video below (which gives the plot away) I have included the trailer as the second video.
