Mystery object nearly causes mid-air collision over Denver CO

DENVER – The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a mystery in the sky. A mysterious object flying over Denver nearly caused a mid-air collision Monday evening, 9Wants to Know has learned.

As far as investigators know, the mystery object did not show up on radar Monday.

Investigators believe this object, whatever it is, could pose a serious safety hazard to planes.

Radio transmissions from LiveATC.net confirm a nervous-sounding pilot reported a strange object at 5:17 p.m. Monday.

The pilot is heard telling air traffic control: “A remote controlled aircraft, or what? Something just went by the other way … About 20 to 30 seconds ago. It was like a large remote-controlled aircraft.

The corporate jet, a Cessna Citation 525 CJ1, was flying at 8,000 feet above sea level over Cherry Creek when the mystery object came close enough to make any pilot nervous. . . . Read Complete Report

Cooper’s sighting was reported by the National Broadcast Company, which was covering the flight step by step; but when Cooper landed, reporters were told that they would not be allowed to question him about the UFO sighting.

Major Cooper was a firm believer in UFOs. Ten years earlier, in 1951 he had sighted a UFO while piloting an F-86 Sabrejet over Western Germany. They were metallic, saucer-shaped discs at considerable altitude and could out-maneuver all American fighter planes.

On October 21, 2004, the NSA approved for release to the public a portion of their NSA Journal Vol. XIV No. 1.  This is a report of a presentation given to the NSA by Dr. Howard Campaigne regarding the decoding of extraterrestrial messages that had been received “form outer space”.  Apparently, these messages had actually been received via the Sputnik satellite, but no one had any idea how to decode them at the time.

At some time, unspecified in the document, Dr. Howard  Campaigne and some other NSA super mathematicians in the crypto department had been given the task of decoding the messages.  There were a total of 29 messages to be decoded—quite an undertaking.

It is curious, to say the least, that this document was cleared for release on October 21, 2004.  Why was that?  Because the NSA did not release it into public information until April 21, 2011.  Though cleared for release, the NSA had been stonewalling it along with hundreds of other NSA documents about contact with UFOs and extraterrestrials until they lost the lawsuit brought by Peter Gersten, a lawyer from Arizona.  When they well and truly lost, the judge’s order had to be carried out, and the documents had to be released. . . . Why are UFOs dangerous? U.S. News & World Report is tackling that question in a special Mysteries of Space magazine that recently hit newsstands.

Every year, thousands of UFO sightings from around the world are reported. And, as the magazine points out, about 95 percent of those reports are explained as ordinary things like military aircraft, balloons, misidentified astronomical objects — such as planets or meteors — and meteorological phenomena.

That leaves 5 percent of unexplained UFOs — but with so many reported, even 5 percent is pretty large.

While the debate rages over whether some of the residual UFOs are interplanetary or interdimensional spacecraft, the magazine is exploring the potential danger of UFO encounters with commercial airline pilots.

“Our objectives are to make flying safer for the public, and we’re convinced there’s a potential threat posed by nearby unexplained aerial phenomena to commercial and private airplanes,” former UFO skeptic and NASA research scientist Richard Haines told The Huffington Post. . . . The controversial hacker group Anonymous appears to have moved past its role of hacking into government systems. Now the group has supposedly released a video that says “we are not alone.” In the coming weeks, they are said to be planning to release evidence of extra terrestrial beings that have been on the planet Earth since the early 1900s. The group’s posting said that the “truth” of the aliens are much more intricate than simple UFOs and flying saucers. Apparently within a few days Anonymous will release information about aliens interacting with mankind.

Those triangle-shaped UFOs just don’t seem to go away. Whether they’re conventional planes, experimental stealth technology or truly unexplained vehicles, reports continue to surface about these aircraft.

And the sightings aren’t isolated to a single location. Reports and videos have emerged recently from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

It used to be that most UFO spotters related stories about unusual saucer-shaped or cigar-shaped craft in the skies. Around the mid-1970s, sightings of triangle-shaped, boomerang-shaped and, yes, Dorito-shaped objects hit UFO news outlets.

Some of these UFOs may, in fact, be top-secret military aircraft like the ones now known to have been developed and tested at the legendary Area 51 base north of Las Vegas.
