In Washington, there is often a revolving door between public officials and lobbying firms. Public servants often take their contacts and knowledge to the private sector, where they can cash in on bigger salaries. The latest big name in the revolving-door game of politics is former Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), who was voted out of office in 2010. While in the Senate, Lincoln served as the chair of the Agriculture Committee. Now, through her lobbying company Lincoln Policy Group, she will serve as a lobbyist for agriculture giant Monsanto. RT’s Ameera David takes a look at what other companies the former senator will lobby for.
