Tuesday marked the two year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street. Two years ago protesters hit the street in mass numbers to show their disdain for the economic state of the country and their anger towards the US government for bailing out the big banks. So what has changed in the last couple years? Occupy activists Sam Jewler, Mike Perlman and Ilana Alazzeh join us to give us an update on the movement.
A 16-year-old high school student’s video report for his American Government class earned him an A+ from his teacher. It also yielded a visit from the FBI.
Justin Hallman says that a project he put together for school that included information on the National Defense Authorization Act, Rep. Ron Paul, Anonymous and the Occupy Wall Street movement was well received in the classroom, but wasn’t exactly praised by others. After agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation saw a copy of Hallman’s finished work on YouTube, they paid a visit to his own home. . . . Read Complete Report
In another shocking example of how the federal government is repositioning itself as a secret police force to target political dissidents, a 16-year-old boy was questioned by FBI agents over a You Tube video he created for a school project which highlighted how America was slipping into a police state. . . . This is an opinion piece. But an important one for sure, I personally do not believe it will hurt or help.
The only thing to help the Libertarian Party grow is what many of us have said since back in the day, have patience, spread the word, and give it time, lots of time. The Libertarian Party has been the only 3rd Political Party to have been on every Presidential Ballot in every state in the Union over the past 40 years. Other so called third political parties have appeared over the years, but the Lib Party is the only one to have been there year after year.
As things get worst more people will wake up to the Liberty movement and the answers we present. . . EDITOR
While campaigning in Seattle, Washington, last Thursday, Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson predicted that marijuana would be legalized in the U.S. by 2016 and reiterated his support for its legalization.
Dean Chambers, who covers the 2012 elections for the Examiner.com, argues that Johnson and libertarians in general are making a mistake by raising the issue of marijuana legalization. “The voters have never shown a willingness to elect a candidate to the presidency who makes legalizing pot the number one issue,” writes Chambers. “Never at any time have the polls on issue priorities ever shown the American people viewing the legalization of marijuana as the highest national priority. The Libertarian Party nominee always goes to pot and marginalizes themselves for doing so.”
I completely disagree. Johnson is absolutely right to make this an important issue for several reasons. . . . Read Complete Report
“The root of all evil,” says GOP presidential candidate and former two-term Gov. Gary Johnson (R-N.M.), “is politicians that are going to save [us] from terrorists, from illegal immigrants, from drugs. ‘Elect me,’ [they say], ‘and I’ll save you.’. . .” Posted with video
The worlds wealth disparity may have taken center stage in the mainstream media this past year, but the conversation has remained extremely vague and is typically set in the nebulous context of “the rich and the poor”.
This way of framing the issue only works to further divide the public and divert attention away from the existence of our self-appointed masters. If these people would stop trying to play god with the human race and the entire planet then there would be no such thing as the rich and the poor.
The whole concept of “the rich and the poor” is just another method of division that has been used to break up serf and slave populations into feuding sects throughout history.
Luckily for us, we know who the masters actually are, they have been meeting in public for years and they have been openly talking about their transgressions against the working class for some time as well .
They have many different think tanks and policy institutes that they belong to, but the most exclusive and powerful of these organizations is the Bilderberg group which is planning its annual meeting at the end of this month in Chantilly, Virginia. . . . Read Complete report
