Do the reptilians walk among us?

Reptoids Research Center:
“Scientists have recently updated their identified animal species list total to 1.2 million, and the predicted total species list to 8.7 million.
That means that we have yet to encounter the other 86%; or majority, of life forms with which we share our tiny, blue planet. In quest of the answer to the age-old question, ‘ARE WE ALONE?,’ we’ve been conditioned to stare into space when thinking about Alien Life and E.T.’s.  This is a classical magician’s distraction! Instead of looking for other than human intelligent life off our planet, we should instead be searching Earth’s many thousands of miles of underground tunnels, caverns and caves systems.

Our underworld is where we will one day discover various species of Earth-evolved, intelligent beings that we have been mistakenly calling ‘Aliens,’ and actual visiting E.T. bases of operations.” CryptoHunter John Rhodes.  (Go to Reptoids.com for all of John’s research.)

A group of Italian and American archaeologists discovered unique underground pyramid in the town of Orvieto, Italy, says Utro.ru. The constructions carved in volcanic limestone rock were found underneath a wine cellar of a residential house. All lower constructions were completely buried under the ground.

“Within this upper section, which had been modified in modern times and was used as a wine cellar, we noticed a series of ancient stairs carved into the wall. They were clearly of Etruscan construction,” David B. George of the Department of Classics at Saint Anselm said.

During excavations, the scientists discovered that the buildings had a pyramidal shape. In addition, several tunnels were found going far deeper into the cellar. . . . Read complete Report

A Hole In Mars

from The Black Vault

07.20.2012

Once again evidence that the planets are cavernous and the probable home of any life is where we have been speculating it was for the past 50 years – INSIDE the planets. . . EDITOR

“Explanation: What created this unusual hole in Mars? The hole was discovered by chance on images of the dusty slopes of Mars’ Pavonis Mons volcano taken by the HiRISE instrument aboard the robotic Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter currently circling Mars. The hole appears to be an opening to an underground cavern, partly illuminated on the image right. Analysis of this and follow-up images revealed the opening to be about 35 meters across, while the interior shadow angle indicates that the underlying cavern is roughly 20 meters deep. Why there is a circular crater surrounding this hole remains a topic of speculation, as is the full extent of the underlying cavern. Holes such as this are of particular interest because their interior caves are relatively protected from the harsh surface of Mars, making them relatively good candidates to contain Martian life. These pits are therefore prime targets for possible future spacecraft, robots, and even human interplanetary explorers.” . . . from The Black Vault

Texas A&M Marine Experts Take Discoveries To New Underwater Heights

Photo: Iliffe has discovered several types of Remipedia. Remipedia are also hermaphrodites — they contain both male and female reproductive organs in the same individual. SOURCE

Ford had his auto, Winchester his rifle, Boeing loved his jets. Tom Iliffe will gladly settle for his cave crustaceans.

For a scientific researcher, discovering any type of new species is a big thrill, and an even bigger one if the new creature is named after you. Texas A&M University, one of a few select schools that carries the rare designation of being a land grant, sea grant and space grant institution, has several researchers who have identified new marine species and thus contributed greatly to advancing our knowledge of the biodiversity of ocean life.

Iliffe, a marine biology professor at Texas A&M-Galveston, is known internationally as one of the world’s foremost cave divers, and he is an expert on “blue holes,” caves so named because from an aerial view, they appear as a blue circle dotting the ocean. The Bahamas are ground zero for blue holes, and there are believed to be more than 1,000 of them in the area . . . Read Complete Report

JSH’S KY: Built on the dust of lost race, Lexington good match for Zombie parade

By Jeffrey Scott Holland

Of all the oddball topics in my book Weird Kentucky, the one that seems to resonate the most with local readers is the centuries-old rumor that downtown Lexington is built over an enormous cavern containing the remains of a forgotten prehistoric people. Sounds like tinfoil-hat stuff, doesn’t it? And yet, and yet:

In his 1806 book Travels In America, Thomas Ashe told of a vast network of huge open-room caverns that he discovered in 1783 beneath the city of Lexington. The chamber contained exotic artifacts of an unidentifiable civilization, including a stone altar. The caves were also said to be filled with human bones, and mummified remains. These mummies were of unusually tall stature, and like the mysterious Mammoth Cave mummies, they had red hair.. . . Read Complete Report

Robotics: A Mini Sub Made From Cheap Parts Could Change Underwater Exploration

from The New York Times – Bits

By BRIAN LAM

This month, NASA engineer Eric Stackpole hiked to a spot in Trinity County, east of California’s rough Bigfoot country. Nestled at the base of a hill of loose rock, peppered by red and purple wildflowers, is Hall City Cave. For part of the winter the cave is infested with large spiders, but is mostly flooded year-round. Locals whisper the cave’s deep pools hold a cache of stolen gold, but Mr. Stackpole isn’t here to look for treasure.

He had, under his arm, what might appear to be a clunky toy blue submarine about the size of a lunchbox. The machine is the latest prototype of the OpenROV–an open-source, remotely operated vehicle that could map the cave in 3D using software from Autodesk and collect water in places too tight for a diver to go.

It could change the future of ocean exploration.

For now, it is exploring caves because it can only go down 100 meters. But it holds promise because it is cheap, links to a laptop, and is available to a large number of researchers for experimentation. . . . Read Complete Report

Retro: Philip Coppens’ “The Quest For The Metal Library”

The Quest For The Metal Library

A system of tunnels and caves beneath Ecuador and Peru is reputed to hold an ancient treasure-house of artifacts including two libraries, one containing inscribed metal books and the other storing tablets of crystal.

Philip Coppens

It’s not what you know, but who you know. In 1973, Erich von Däniken, at the height of his fame following the success of Chariots of the Gods?, claimed that he had entered into a gigantic subterranean tunnel system in Ecuador, which he was told spanned the length of the continent—surely evidence that our ancestors were highly advanced, if not extraterrestrial? The structure was believed to house a library in which books were made out of metal—this in an area where today there is nothing but “primitive” Indian tribes with no written language. Evidence of a lost civilization? It was a major claim, and it did not go unchallenged.. . . Read Complete Report /photos

U.K.: Cave network links Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire

from BBC

9 Ноябрь 2011 Last updated at 11:01 ET

Potholers have created what they believe to be the biggest cave network in Britain under Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire.

Cavers have connected more the 60 miles (about 102 km) of caverns and natural tunnels beneath the high ground near Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria.

The caves stretch through Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire, earning its name of the Three Counties System.

The project has taken more than 40 years to complete.

Deep under the Pennines, a group of cavers have cleared a way through clay and boulders to reconnect two cave systems separated at the end of the last Ice Age. . . . Read Complete Report

Primitive and Eyeless, World’s Deepest Land Animal Discovered

Charles Choi, LiveScience Contributor

In the dark abyss of the world’s deepest known cave lurks a newfound species of primitive eyeless insect, one that researchers are calling the deepest land animal ever found.

The creature, now known as Plutomurus ortobalaganensis, is one of four newly discovered species of wingless insects called springtails, which commonly live in total darkness in caves, where they feed on fungi and decomposing organic matter. . . Read Complete Report
