One thing that’s easily noticed when working in the cannabis reform movement is that there’s an embedded fear in many individuals when it comes to standing up for supporting legalization, and working publicly to get it done. On one hand, it’s hard to blame these people: Cannabis prohibition is a very real, very dangerous beast. The government has spent a lot of time, and resources, to put this fear into the public.

On the other hand, free speech is a constitutional right, and standing up for what we believe in should be a core principle of being an active citizen of our great, yet ever-progressing country. The District of Columbia’s long-awaited medical marijuana program took a big step forward this week when officials issued occupancy permits for DC’s first marijuana cultivation center and dispensary. Both locations are less than three miles from the J. Edgar Hoover Building, headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The step was widely viewed as one of the last hurdles to a working medical marijuana program that almost 70 percent of DC voters approved in a referendum 14 years ago, reports In The Capital. Congress spent years blocking funding for the program before finally getting out of the way after President Obama was elected. Occupy LA movement activists are suing the city of Los Angeles for their civil rights violations. In November 2011 some protesters were detained while staging an eight-week-long encampment at City Hall teamed up with the Occupy Wall Street movement. Police responded by performing a sweep that affected nearly 300 demonstrators. The group has now filed an A class lawsuit accusing the law enforcement officials of violating human rights and mistreating the protesters in penitentiary. One of the named plaintiffs in the case, Michael Prysner joins us for more.

On November 30th last year around 300 protesters were arrested at the Los Angeles City Hall after being camped out in the vicinity for over two months. An estimated 1400 police officers showed up and blazed through the encampment in what protesters are now calling a “shock and awe” attack on their rights. The movement activists have now filed A class action lawsuit for the arrests and the protesters’ treatment while in custody. RT’s Ramon Galindo brings the latest from Los Angeles

Mentioning to many of the leading lights in the field of so-called “Cattle Mutilations” the idea that the admittedly weird phenomenon might have far more to do with the the work of a clandestine group in government or the military than it does with black-eyed aliens from some far away galaxy, is likely to result in a response of an overwhelmingly negative and defensive nature. Belief (particularly of the Mulder-like “I want to believe” variety) is a very powerful tool when it comes to concluding this or that is linked to the UFO puzzle. And that goes for cattle-mutes, too.

But – say the full-on believers in the theory that E.T. like to chow down on a nice tasty steak now and again – if not the aliens, then who else could be responsible? For the most part, they scoff at the idea of predators, cults and the government (the latter being “them” in paranoia-land) as the culprits.

The fact of the matter, however, is that – for decades, no less – various official bodies have taken a clandestine and concerned interest in animal deaths and injuries all across the United States. But not for reasons relative to the actions of menacing, meat-loving extraterrestrials. Nope, the reasons are much different and, in many ways, far more disturbing. I just got word that apparently one of the contributors on this site has been arrested/detained over Facebook posts.  The Police, FBI and Secret Service swarmed in and took Brandon Raub to John Randolph Metal Hospital.   This patriotic Marine had posted 5 posts on the Dont-Tread-On.Me blog linked below.  Just glancing over them they seem to be of the religious and patriotic fight for truth and justice.  He used the blog to have people join his FaceBook group and even did and promoted a Richmond Liberty March.

I looked through my email to see if there was any emails between the two of us and I did not find any, although I am sure there was as I would not have given him access to post on the blog if I did not.

There are a couple of lessons I want everyone to know form what little information we have from this incident.

1. Delete Facebook. I did a video for The Greatest Truth Never Told series called Delete Facebook giving a non conspiracy reason why people should quit FaceBook as it is destroying our lives. Now you should all see the conspiracy reason why you should Delete Facebook.  This incident proves that it is just a huge monitoring tool for the Elite to track and build a profile of you.  You give willingly the details of your political leaning, friends, interests.  The hidden influence of the CIA  through In-Q-Tel is becoming more and more visible. . . . LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Now may be a good time to do a quick check of your computer. The FBI says on Monday, tens of thousands of Americans may lose their Internet service due to a computer virus.

Your computer may have been infected by hackers who figured out a way to redirect your Internet searches to bogus websites for profit.

“We call it DNS changer and it does just what the name implies — it changes DNS settings. So it’s gone in and reconfigured it so that when you go to browse somewhere, it can take you anywhere it wants,” said Kevin Healey, director of Norton Security Response. . . .
