PHOENIX — A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Arizona authorities can enforce the most contentious section of the state’s immigration law, which critics have dubbed the “show me your papers” provision.
The ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton clears the way for police to carry out the requirement that officers, while enforcing other laws, question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally. . . . Read Complete Report
Today the long awaited press conference by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office took place at 5:30pm EST. Its goal was to bring forth new evidence that provides indisputable evidence that the birth certificate of Barack Hussein Obama is in fact a forgery.
The Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Lisa Adams, opened the conference and said that they hope to take no more than 60 minutes to complete. She also said that no questions would be answered in regards to anything unrelated to the press conference pertaining to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, such as the recent immigration ruling by the Supreme Court. She also scolded the media for their lack of reporting and their scoffing at the investigation. She then encouraged them to keep an open mind. . . . Read Complete Report
Jack Cashill reports on woman’s court filing based on myriad anomalies
If Barack Obama has an immediate eligibility problem, it is more likely to derive from the Social Security Number he has been using for the last 35 years than from his birth certificate.
Ohio private investigator Susan Daniels has seen to that. On Monday, July 2, she filed suit in Geauga County (Ohio) Common Pleas Court demanding that Jon Husted, Ohio secretary of state, remove Obama’s name from the ballot until Obama can prove the validity of his Social Security Number.
Daniels, who has vetted thousands of Social Security Numbers for numerous other clients, has done her homework. In her filing, she thoroughly documents her contention “that Barack Obama has repeatedly, consistently, and with intent misrepresented himself by using a fraudulently obtained Social Security Number.”
To acquire appropriate standing in court, Daniels has gone to the trouble of establishing herself as a valid write-in candidate for president. Before she is through, this 70-something mother of seven, who has been a licensed Ohio PI since 1995, may cause Obama more trouble than the Romney campaign. . . . Read Complete Report

Sounds like the time George W. Bush stood on that aircraft carrier in front of a giant banner reading the same two words that he stated to rousting applause on the deck below: ” Mission Accomplished.” How many years ago was that?
And as for the End of the Border Wars . . . don’t forget the drug part of this bloody war. Still think it’s over? . . . EDITOR
That’s the conclusion I draw from the latest report of the Pew Hispanic Center on Mexican immigration to the United States.
Pew’s demographers have carefully combed through statistics compiled by the US Census Bureau, the Department of Homeland Security and the Mexican government, and have come up with estimates of the flow of migrants from and back to Mexico. Their work seems to be as close to definitive as possible.
They conclude that from 2005 to 2010 some 1.39 million people came from Mexico to the United States and 1.37 million went from the US to Mexico. “The largest wave of immigration in history from a single country to the United States,” they write, “has come to a standstill.” . . . It appears that the Obama administration is not only getting in the face of the American people with their immigration policies, but they are also running a little private campaign of their own when it comes to the border patrol. Instead of the border patrol doing their job in an aggressive case in public, they are now being taught to run away and hide and only as a last resort are they to open fire. Wait! No! They can’t do that. They are supposed to become “aggressive” and “throw things.”
You heard that right. Local 2544 posted a brief statement in regards to the new “training tactics” they are being taught. Welcome to the new world of Barack “The Golfer” Obama and Janet “Can I have another doughnut” Napolitano. . . . Read Complete Post

With a few arguably strange exceptions, nobody likes being spied on, and when you hear the phrase “domestic surveillance,” for better or worse being surveiled upon comes to mind. It’s unfortunate that the recent accessibility of unmanned aircraft has gotten drones wrapped up in all of this paranoia legitimate concern, and a new poll from Monmouth University shows that people are definitely worried about law enforcement using camera-equipped drones.
“The poll asked a national sample [approximately1.700 people] about four potential uses of unmanned drones by U.S. law enforcement. An overwhelming majority of Americans support the idea of using drones to help with search and rescue missions (80%). Two-thirds of the public also support using drones to track down runaway criminals (67%) and control illegal immigration on the nation’s border (64%). One area where Americans say that drones should not be used, though, is to issue speeding tickets. Only 23% support using drones for this routine police activity while a large majority of 67% oppose the idea.” . . . Read Complete Report
Says DHS retaliating against state over Supreme Court decision
“Obama is waging war on Arizona over illegal immigration.”
That terse assessment is from Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has tangled with the White House over his investigation of Obama’s birth records, as well as the Department of Justice’s allegations that the sheriff’s department profiles suspects.
Arpaio also has challenged Attorney General Eric Holder to prove in court his claims that the sheriff’s office profiles suspects. . . . Read Complete Report
President Obama on Tuesday signed a bill that imposes stiffer penalties for the construction of illicit cross-border tunnels.
The signing of the Border Tunnel Prevention Act of 2012, “is one more step in the Obama Administration’s efforts to strengthen our nation’s border security to deter and prevent smuggling, trafficking, and illegal immigration, while safeguarding and encouraging the efficient flow of lawful trade, travel and immigration,” read a White House statement.
U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, authored the bill that passed the U.S. House of Representatives on May 16 with broad bi-partisan support . Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-California, co-sponsored the senate bill.
“I’ve seen border-tunnels first-hand in San Diego,” Feinstein said last month, according to a statement from her office. “They are much more than simple holes in the ground. Some of them have elevators, electric rail tracks, even a hydraulically controlled steel door.” . . . Read Complete Report
US and Mexican authorities have found one of the most sophisticated secret drug-smuggling tunnels ever discovered on their shared border.
An estimated 17 tonnes of marijuana were found in the tunnel, which is about 400 metres long and linked warehouses in San Diego and Tijuana, authorities said.
US authorities seized about nine tonnes of marijuana inside a truck and at the warehouse in San Diego’s Otay Mesa area, said Derek Benner, US immigration and customs enforcement special agent in charge of investigations in San Diego. Mexican authorities found about eight tonnes south of the border.
They made the announcement at a news conference near packages of seized drugs festooned with labels of Captain America, Sprite and Bud Light. The markings are codes to identify the owners. . . Read Complete report
WASHINGTON — In the space of a month, the Supreme Court has thrust itself into the center of American political life, agreeing to hear three major cases that could help determine which party controls the House of Representatives and whether President Obama wins a second term.
A demonstration in Phoenix in May 2010 against Arizona’s strict immigration law, which the Supreme Court will consider.
The court announced Monday that it would decide whether Arizona was entitled to impose tough anti-immigration measures over the Obama administration’s objections. The case joined a crowded docket that already included challenges to Mr. Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the 2010 health care overhaul law, and a momentous case on how Texas will conduct its elections.
