Law Would Make Uruguay First Government In World To Legally Supply Marijuana
The president of Uruguay on Wednesday submitted a proposal to Parliament to legalize marijuana under government-controlled regulation and sale, making it the first country in the world where the state would sell marijuana directly to its citizens. The proposal, signed by Uruguayan President José Mujica, is part of a package of measures aimed at fighting crime and requires parliamentary approval before being enacted.
Despite Uruguay being one of the safest countries in Latin America, it has faced an increase in crime from drug gangs due to its position on a drug transit route to Europe via West Africa. The aim of the measure is to combat the rising insecurity in Uruguay by removing the profits of marijuana sales from drug gangs, separating the marijuana market from those for other illegal drugs, and avoiding marijuana users’ exposure to drug dealers who also sell coca paste and cocaine. This is an opinion piece. But an important one for sure, I personally do not believe it will hurt or help.
The only thing to help the Libertarian Party grow is what many of us have said since back in the day, have patience, spread the word, and give it time, lots of time. The Libertarian Party has been the only 3rd Political Party to have been on every Presidential Ballot in every state in the Union over the past 40 years. Other so called third political parties have appeared over the years, but the Lib Party is the only one to have been there year after year.

While campaigning in Seattle, Washington, last Thursday, Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson predicted that marijuana would be legalized in the U.S. by 2016 and reiterated his support for its legalization.
Dean Chambers, who covers the 2012 elections for the Examiner.com, argues that Johnson and libertarians in general are making a mistake by raising the issue of marijuana legalization. “The voters have never shown a willingness to elect a candidate to the presidency who makes legalizing pot the number one issue,” writes Chambers. “Never at any time have the polls on issue priorities ever shown the American people viewing the legalization of marijuana as the highest national priority. The Libertarian Party nominee always goes to pot and marginalizes themselves for doing so.”

Now, Mitt Romney is applying that same notion to his campaign for the presidency. He’s offering Americans a gated candidate, with whole areas of his record walled off to keep “you people” from knowing about them.’

Romney insured that records on his stint as Governor and as CEO of the Olympics were scrubbed. He walls off access to his history at Bain, the company he led. All of the above is true. But Romney isn’t the only one running for the Presidency who is afraid to reveal the truth about his background.

My question is … how is it that American voters would vote for either one of these obviously unscrupulous characters with obviously lots of things to hide?
The answer is easy.
Most Americans who vote have been lured and brainwashed into the false belief that there is a huge difference between the Republican and Democratic Parties. This is simply not true at all. Especially when a close look at the core beliefs of the 2012 establishment Presidential Candidates will show any one that their goals are the same . . . The Controllers fascist-socialist agenda for the world.
Yet, the American voter will go to the polls this November and “vote their conscious” for their man. . . one or the other of the proven thugs, both with important facts to hide and both members of the Controllers one-party-acting-as-two, the Republic-Rats.
Of course, I am getting ready to hear from every one of those well-meaning mind-controlled voters, when asked who I’ll be voting for their programmed statement. and belief. I’ve heard it evey election year since I came of age to vote; “If I vote forGary Johnson, the Libertarian Candidate, I will be wasting my vote.”” Really?
And a vote for one of the 2 Controllers puppets WON’T BE “a wasted vote?”
People, America is in big trouble. If we citizens refuse to wake up to the truth that two Party’s, both with the same agenda, continue to be in control of our Country’s destiny things will continue to get worst. No matter which side sets in the Oval Office over the next four years the cannibalistic treatment of our constitution will continue. Constitution, Bill of Rights and all the other civil and States Rights protections will be stripped silently away..
In the long run, be you Republican,Democrat, Libertarian, or one of the other mostly pushed aside Political Party’s. . . . We all will have wasted our vote. And our kids will NEVER get to vote in a fair election.
If we continue to put our country into the hands of the Republi-rats there will be no freedom for future generations in the upcoming fascist-socialist government planned for our children under the Controllers Republican and Democrat cartel. Those who say a vote for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Presidential Candidate, is a wasted vote are wrong.
A vote for the controlling two parties is a real wasted vote and will do nothing to return America to the constitutional laws as passed by our forefathers. It’s up to us. By the time the next generation of Americans are able to vote I believe it will be too late. . . EDITOR
A President Mitt Romney would not undo ObamaCare. He’d make it permanent.
The National Libertarian Party issued the following statement today:
The Supreme Court Ruling on ObamaCare does not matter. It will make little difference to America in the short run, and no difference in the long run.
Why? Because almost all elected Republicans and Democrats are Big Government politicians – in all things – including health care. After this Supreme Court decision, they will get back to work expanding government involvement in all things – especially health care.
One thing could make things worse. Electing Republican Mitt Romney President.
Two-term Governor, Gary Johnson, says both parties are indistinguishable from one another. Both are keeping America broke. Both are keeping America at war. Both have trampled on the Constitution. And both are stooges to the same big money players that never change behind the scenes. It’s time to put our differences and our parties aside and come together as a nation for the good of all. Oakland — Hundreds of supporters of President Obama turned out to see him at Oakland’s Fox Theater on Monday afternoon. They lined up for blocks along Telegraph Avenue for the opportunity to see President Obama as he traveled from one fundraising event to another. Before the First Motorcade passed them though, a march of several hundred people instructed them variously to “Smoke weed every day,” “Stop the madness, spark a spliff,” and demand that their candidate keep his promise.
The activists gathered first at Oakland City Hall to protest U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag’s crusade against area dispensaries. This April, in apparent contravention of the publicly-stated will of President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder, federal agents raided Oaksterdam University. Recently, Ms. Haag has also threatened to seize Harborside Health Center, where 100,000 patients have procured medicine over the last six years.
Representatives of the two dispensaries joined Judge Jim Gray, the Vice Presidential candidate on the Libertarian ticket, a handful of Occupy Oakland regulars, and a community of cannabis patents in front of around one hundred supporters.
Specifically, the group’s plea was for the President and the Attorney General to intervene in Ms. Haag’s anti-dispensary fight. Behind this, they have Obama’s previous statements and what they have been led to believe was official Justice Department policy, as articulated by Holder. Candidate Obama said in 2007, “I would not have the Justice Department prosecuting and raiding medical marijuana users; it is not a good use of our resources. Denver — Throughout his presidency, Barack Obama hasn’t exactly been a friend to marijuana users. Sure, he has acknowledged smoking pot as a young man, but he has disappointed marijuana advocates by opposing its legalization, regulation and taxation like alcohol.
And the Justice Department’s occasional crackdown under his administration on medical marijuana dispensaries, which 17 states and the District of Columbia allow, has angered others.
So now, with Obama facing a stiff challenge from Republican Mitt Romney in the November 6 election, it’s ironic that his chances of winning the key state of Colorado could hinge on marijuana legalization, supported by a growing number of Americans.
At issue is whether Obama will get a boost from young voters expected to be among the most enthusiastic backers of a Colorado ballot initiative that would legalize possession of up to an ounce of pot for recreational use – and give the state the most liberal marijuana law in the nation.
The initiative is a reflection of Colorado’s unique blend of laid-back liberalism and anti-regulation conservatism that helped make the state the birthplace of the Libertarian Party.
It’s a state where people of different political stripes see marijuana laws as an example of government needlessly sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong.

When we talk about the war on drugs, which is increasingly turning into a real war, we often overlook the fact that the “criminals” involved in the drug trade aren’t actually violating anyone’s rights. When a drug dealer is hauled before a judge, there is no victim standing behind the prosecutor claiming damages. Everyone participating in the drug trade does so voluntarily. Tricky Dick & Vote Scam
During the re-election of “Tricky Dick” Nixon I was really into stopping it. I had just joined the fledgling Libertarian Party and was trying to recruit every one I met, friend, foe or stranger and I’m proud to say I recruited many.
The one thing that stood out in my mind was the fact that when questioned few were “for” Nixon. Yet the media reported that he won “by a historical number of votes”.
Then after the election I conducted my own poll asking people who they had voted for. Surprisingly I could find few people who actually admitted voting for the crook. It seemed as though I was getting one story from the controlled media and yet another from the people I was talking to. What was that all about?
Then in 1992, after 23 years of research the Collins Brothers published an explosive book documenting and exposing the vote manipulation by the Controllers of the United States national elections that has been going on for years. That book is Votescam: The Stealing of America , a book that MUST be read by every American who cares.
Of course the mainstream never brought the Collins brothers expose’ to the public in the way they would have if they were not entirely under the velvet glove of the controllers...
So if the elections are fixed why would the Controllers have to have a conspiracy against Ron Paul?
Because his popularity is scaring the controlling elitist to death! If the truth about Ron Paul’s agenda and popularity were known someone might start to ask the question, How can he be so popular at “town hall” meetings yet when the votes are cast Paul gets few.
In a couple of cases where they didn’t get in the “fix” Paul comes in near the top of the heap. In that case the main stream press simply skims over that fact. But what is really scaring the elitist is . . .

Although Mitt Romney has obviously already been tapped as the Controller’s choice to be the next President of the United States, They are afraid that the popularity of Ron Paul might start people questioning our predetermining “fixed” voting system. They can’t have that at any cost. Hence a separate program to remove Ron Paul from the collective sheeple minds.

Much is said about the failed “War on Drugs” as a program that MUST continue no matter the cost, I’m afraid I have to disagree. The present drug policy is idiocy at work. . . or not at work.
The first step would be to separate REAL drugs from light drugs. instead of spending so much on Marijuana control, a substance that every study since the 1800s has found not to be the danger that, starting with Nixon, has gotten so much bad press.
It seems to me that being truthful about the lack of dangers of herb would make the job of controlling crack, coke, heron etc. a lot easier and a lot less costlier if the powers that be would stop using lies and propaganda to lump the hemp plant in with their manufactured dangerous drugs. Every study of the plant its leaves and stems, has found little or no medical, psychological, or “dependance” associated with the herb. Lets face it, the only reason pot is illegal is because it would put a big dent in the Controllers pocket book and Richard Nixon’s total paranoia about anything he could not understand. . . which, as history has show wasn’t much.
