A group of Italian and American archaeologists discovered unique underground pyramid in the town of Orvieto, Italy, says Utro.ru. The constructions carved in volcanic limestone rock were found underneath a wine cellar of a residential house. All lower constructions were completely buried under the ground.
“Within this upper section, which had been modified in modern times and was used as a wine cellar, we noticed a series of ancient stairs carved into the wall. They were clearly of Etruscan construction,” David B. George of the Department of Classics at Saint Anselm said.
During excavations, the scientists discovered that the buildings had a pyramidal shape. In addition, several tunnels were found going far deeper into the cellar. . . . Read complete Report

This is it — the one that Mr. Gravy tried to buy from us “name your price” — the original, wonderful PHANTOM EMPIRE serial that inspired so many sci-fi extravaganzas afterward. The idea was apparently dreamed up by one of the producers while seated in the dentist’s chair under the influence of laughing gas. This is a serial like no other. Star Wars fans, take note — words from the title were lifted for both THE PHANTOM MENACE and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK — and you want to know why Darth Vader really breathes like that? Serial fans know it’s because he’s wearing a Muranian oxygen helmet! Betsy King Ross was a real-life trick rider, tho she doesn’t get to do too many stunts here — and this was Gene Autry’s first appearance onscreen. The original serial was sadly released without a musical score — this edition — which we would not sell off at any price — features restored picture and a full score of period music which helps draw you into the action. Scenes are tinted sepia for the surface world, and silver-blue for underground Murania. Available at www.serialsquadron.com as a 3-disk DVD set.
Notice how much China has been in the news lately… buying up your local movie theater chain (AMC), hotels, closed bases…building towns to move their people over. You catch my drift. They’re just spending all that money that they make selling us disposable junk we all buy at the local big box store. Of course we can’t really say anything. That’s the American way – Invest. Make money.
But, The thing that REALLY bothers me is that they are spending a lot of that money on war preparation also.

UCA of SME Announces New Scholarship!
The UCA of SME is pleased to announce a new scholarship – the UCA of SME Scholarship – that has been established to encourage the introduction of undergraduate and graduate academic pursuits and careersin the field of tunneling and underground construction and numerous associated disciplines involved in the development, planning, design, and construction of underground infrastructure.
Beginning in 2011, the UCA of SME Scholarship will be awarded annually to one or more promising college students who desire to develop their skills in tunneling and underground mining. Up to $10,000 in scholarships may be awarded each year. The recipient(s) will be announced each spring in anticipation of the next academic year, and the scholarship(s) will be presented at either the North American Tunneling or Rapid Excavation Tunnel Conference held in June of each year.
