Iranian Scientist Claims to Have Built “Time Machine”

Ali Razeqi says his time machine uses “complex algorithms” to see the future.

It’s not quite Back to the Future, but a young Iranian inventor claims to have built a time machine that can predict a person’s future with startling accuracy.

Ali Razeqi, who is 27 and the “managing director of Iran’s Center for Strategic Inventions,” claims his device will print out a report detailing an individual’s future after using complex algorithms to predict his or her fate . . . Read Complete Report

Chinese ship runs into protected reef in Philippines — while transporting 11 tons of illegal anteater meat

By Teresa Cerojano, Associated Press

A Chinese vessel that ran into a protected coral reef in the southwestern Philippines held evidence of even more environmental destruction inside: more than 22,000 pounds of meat from a protected species, the pangolin or scaly anteater.

The steel-hulled vessel hit an atoll on April 8 at the Tubbataha National Marine Park, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site on Palawan island. Coast guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Armand Balilo said Monday that 400 boxes, each containing 25 to 30 kilograms of frozen pangolins, were discovered during a second inspection of the boat Saturday. . . . Read Complete Report

SPACE SCIENCES TEXTBOOK
by

Colonel Donald G. Carpenter

ENVIRONMENTAL SPACE SCIENCES is a book taught at the Air Force Academy and written by Professor who was the originator of the Space Science Course at the USAF Academy. Colonel was also the Commander of the SPACETRACK Radar Site at Shemya, Alaska. Col. Carpenter was kind enough to send Eastern MUFON the book he edited and wrote with six other officers. Most of the book pertains to science of space, the sun, planets, plasmas, magnetic fields, radiation, meteors, planets, space dust, Cosmo chemistry, the planets and moons. George Filer copied this chapter manually for you the reader, because I felt it was of importance, so I hope you enjoy it.

All the chapters are of interest to the Ufologist, such as the Search for Extraterrestrial Life, but most important is Chapter XXXIII “The UFO Mystery.”

Popular Mechanics Exclusive: How Bigelow Convinced NASA to Build an Inflatable Add-on to the Space Station (W/Video)

By Michael Belfiore

Bigelow Aerospace has landed a contract with NASA to install an addition to the ISS for a (relatively) cheap $17.8 million. The low price is made possible in part because the add-on will ride to the station in a compact, tightly folded package and expand to full size after it arrives. CEO Robert Bigelow talks with PM about the contract and his company’s future.

Robert Bigelow spent decades amassing the fortune he needed to start his own space company, a dream he had since he was a boy growing up in Las Vegas in the 1950s. At the turn of the millennium, with cash from his real estate empire and hotel chain, he went shopping for the technology he needed to expand off-planet. . . . Read Complete Report

The asteroid mining business got a bit more crowded as a new concern called Deep Space Industries (DSI) enters the ring. The company announced its public launching at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, California where a panel presentation of officials and guests outlined DSI’s philosophy and plans for becoming a major force in opening up asteroid mining within a few years.

DSI, currently based in McLean, Virginia, was started mid-2012 and is currently seeking additional investors and customers. According to the panel, there are 9,500 near-Earth asteroids with 1,700 of these easier to get to than the Moon. The company believes that by keeping costs down and concentrating on creating a series of near-term returns it’s possible to make mining these asteroids not only feasible, but a business field capable of almost unlimited expansion. . . . Experimental Interplanetary Internet Used to Test Robot from International Space Station (W/Video)

from Science Daily

ScienceDaily (Nov. 8, 2012) — NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) successfully have used an experimental version of interplanetary Internet to control an educational rover from the International Space Station. The experiment used NASA’s Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) protocol to transmit messages and demonstrate technology that one day may enable Internet-like communications with space vehicles and support habitats or infrastructure on another planet.

Space station Expedition 33 commander Sunita Williams in late October used a NASA-developed laptop to remotely drive a small LEGO robot at the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany. The European-led experiment used NASA’s DTN to simulate a scenario in which an astronaut in a vehicle orbiting a planetary body controls a robotic rover on the planet’s surface.. . .
