Feds, Wildlife Groups Use Bogus Endangered Species Science to Block Border Fence

Wikipedia: The jaguar (Panthera onca) is a big cat, a feline in the Panthera genus, and is the only extant Panthera species native to the Americas. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Americas. The jaguar’s present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson) and the bootheel of New Mexico, the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century.

Note “. . .POSSIBLE breading population in Arizona..” ” . . the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century”.

I say if he is only POSSIBLY here in a small area of Arizona and is a Mexican cat thats a lame reason to not secure our border.  But then you must realize the source of the protest. . . Your Editor Dennis Crenshaw

Feds, Wildlife Groups Use Bogus Endangered Species Science to Block Border Fence

Judicial Watch APRIL 06, 2017

Wildlife conservation groups are collaborating with a federal government agency to halt construction of the southern border wall by fudging science to claim that unimpeded trans-border corridors are essential to an “endangered species” with 99% of its population in Mexico. Under the plan, large areas of Arizona and New Mexico would be prohibited from erecting a border wall so that jaguars—which don’t even occupy the area—can roam back and forth between the two countries. More than ¾ million acres in Arizona and New Mexico would be designated as critical habitat for jaguars under the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA), which specifically states that critical habitat can only be designated for the United States. . . He started out in search of a new way to trade. When dollars and cents just weren’t making sense, he forged ahead on his own, and developed the Liberty Dollar. Bernard von NotHaus was his name. You might remember him from recent years, when federal authorities raided his home and confiscated his private silver coins. When von NotHaus said he was trying to invent a currency free of government control, prosecutors told the court he was guilty of domestic terrorism.

Printable 3D Gun Downloaded 100,000 Times

By Greg Richter

The State Department has demanded they be removed, but free blueprints for a handgun that can be made on a 3D printer already have been downloaded 100,000 times, its maker says.

Lawmakers have expressed dismay over the plastic weapons that use regular ammunition. But the company that invented it says it is an example of technology helping people protect their Second – and First – Amendment rights.

Gun Control: Colorado to Feds: Please Dominate Us

GOP-leaning political pundit, Mary Matalin, once remarked that my hometown seems to be on The Quest for the Unpronounceable Name. I live in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It started off in the wild West days as Ragtown, and then decided on Six Shooter Siding. Now it’s Tucumcari.

Well, in a similar but much more sinister way, my neighbor state to the North, Colorado, seems to be in the midst of a Self-Imposed Quest for a Police State. Not to be outdone by Connecticut, Colorado has imposed some of the strictest gun control measures in the land upon themselves, including a provision for universal background checks (which, as former GOP presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin is tireless in pointing out, is nothing other than a back door entrance into universal gun registration.) . . . The web domain for Defense Distributed was recently seized, and a notice was placed on the home page stating that individuals involved with the website are being indicted under a grand jury investigation for violating various gun control and intellectual property regulations.

Just a few minutes ago i was doing some research about the progress of 3D printed firearms, and followed a link to the homepage for Defense Distributed, the company that is pioneering the world of 3d printing, specifically guns and ammunition.

I was very disappointed to see the all too familiar federal domain seizure greeting, informing me that not only had the domain been seized, but that individuals involved with the project were being indicted as well. . . .Read Complete Report

Washington D.C.: Feds Plan No Action on Eve of Pot Legalization Coming to Town

From Cannabis News

Author: Jonathan Martin, Seattle Times Staff Reporter

EXCERPTS

“A strange gap year in Washington’s grand experiment with marijuana legalization begins Thursday, when personal possession of pot becomes legal, but criminal laws banning marijuana growing and sales remain in effect.” . . .

“Jenny Durkan, the U.S. Attorney for Western Washington, sent out a statement Wednesday” . . ….”The Statement:

“The Department of Justice is reviewing the legalization initiatives recently passed in Colorado and Washington state. The Department’s responsibility to enforce the Controlled Substances Act remains unchanged. Neither States nor the Executive branch can nullify a statute passed by Congress. In enacting the Controlled Substances Act, Congress determined that marijuana is a Schedule I controlled substance.

“Regardless of any changes in state law, including the change that will go into effect on December 6th in Washington state, growing, selling or possessing any amount of marijuana remains illegal under federal law. Members of the public are also advised to remember that it remains against federal law to bring any amount of marijuana onto federal property, including all federal buildings, national parks and forests, military installations, and courthouses. . . . Americans to feds: Keep your hands off our pot (w/Video)

from NBC New

By Andrew Mach, NBC News

A majority of Americans want the federal government to keep out of state marijuana laws, even as overall sentiment on whether marijuana should be legalized is split, according to a new poll.

“The significant majority of Americans would advise the federal government to focus on other issues,” wrote Frank Newport of Gallup.

In Washington and Colorado, where citizens last month voted to legalize marijuana possession, the issue of federal interference is especially salient as residents face a confusing mishmash of federal and state laws when it comes to whether and where they can get high. . . . Read Complete Report
