Libertarians look to bring reform within the GOP at LPAC 2013 (Video Report)

Until we get rid of the control of Diebold and the other elitist owned electronic voting machine manufacturers and go back to real Americans counting the vote – and form a REAL third party, separate from the corrupt system of the two-headed-disguised-as-one- system that the Controllers have put in place – we have no chance of ever regaining control over the rigged elections in the good ol’ USA.

Although I commend these folks for taking a shot at bringing Libertarian values into the GOP, I believe it would be more productive to continue in the direction of forming a separate party than it will be to convince the Republican folks that the government should keep their noses out of other peoples business.  They seem to love controlling other peoples actions. Like what to put in their body and which gender they should fall in love with. I just Can’t see those in the GOP giving up those type controls. Like asking Winpy to give up hambergers. . . It ain’t gonna happen.

Sorry guys, just a thought. . . . EDITOR

NORMLIZE CONGRESS: Marijuana Law Reform Heating Up in 2013

From NORML

by Erik Altieri, NORML Communications DirectorJanuary

1/7/2012

The votes this past November in Colorado and Washington to regulate marijuana for adults have sparked a fire of change that seems to be spreading across the country. This month, both state and federal legislatures will return to work to kick off the 2013 legislative session and it is already shaping up to be one of the busiest in recent memory for marijuana reformers. Bills are already slated to be introduced in states such as Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Texas – with many more to be introduced in the coming weeks. It is very likely that on top of federal legislation coming down the pipeline, nearly two dozen marijuana reform measures will also be introduced across the country in various states. NORML will be providing you withAction Alerts as new bills are introduced, easily allowing you to contact your elected officials and ask them to support these important reform measures. . . . Want Cannabis Reform? Be Vocal (+) DC’s First Marijuana Dispensaries 3 Miles From FBI Headquarters

One thing that’s easily noticed when working in the cannabis reform movement is that there’s an embedded fear in many individuals when it comes to standing up for supporting legalization, and working publicly to get it done. On one hand, it’s hard to blame these people: Cannabis prohibition is a very real, very dangerous beast. The government has spent a lot of time, and resources, to put this fear into the public.

On the other hand, free speech is a constitutional right, and standing up for what we believe in should be a core principle of being an active citizen of our great, yet ever-progressing country. It’s easy to forget that in relative terms, we’re a young nation, and we have a lot to improve upon — we can’t let complacency be an enemy. . . . Read Complete Report

The District of Columbia’s long-awaited medical marijuana program took a big step forward this week when officials issued occupancy permits for DC’s first marijuana cultivation center and dispensary. Both locations are less than three miles from the J. Edgar Hoover Building, headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The step was widely viewed as one of the last hurdles to a working medical marijuana program that almost 70 percent of DC voters approved in a referendum 14 years ago, reports In The CapitalCongress spent years blocking funding for the program before finally getting out of the way after President Obama was elected. Then a tortuous three-year regulatory process began, which has only recently been completed. . . . Read Complete Report

Protesting Is Now Terrorism

Thursday, September 6, 2012 3:24

An activist was designated as a terror suspect put on the terrorism watchlist, which was used to prevent him from protesting at the week’s DNC in Charlotte.

Activists James Tyson was shocked when he was giving an extremely high $10,000 bail after being pulled over on his way to protest at  the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

Court documents show prosecutors were able to get such an unreasonably high bail set because they argued he was a dangerous person listed on the Department of Homeland Security’s terrorism watch list.

Tyson’s only two previous  run-ins with law enforcement  were for fishing out of season and driving while impaired.

Even more ostensible is prosecutors argued that Tyson be held in jail without bail until after the DNC was over. . . . Read Complete report

Current Department of Defense anti-terrorism training course material states that the exercise of First Amendment rights in the U.S. constitutes terrorist activity.

The ACLU has written to the DoD regarding its Antiterrorism and Force Protection Annual Refresher Training Course, which advises personnel that political protest amounts to “low-level terrorism”.
