Robotics Startup Spotlight: Industrial Perception Building 3D Vision Guided Robots (w/video)

I started the “Robotics” department to help us keep our eyes on how fast the Robotics industry can come up with a complete, real human-replaceable robot.

Once the industry creates a “perfect” prototype robot who can pass and do everything human the Controllers (those who finance the robotics industry through “Grants”) will be able to rev up their “population control” plans which is now based on how many human slaves they will need to take care of their elitist crowd.

But I believe they are thinking that maybe they need really need no “Farmer Ants” after all. With a full staff of human robots they’ll have 24/7 workers who don’t bitch about pay, holidays, medical benefits  sick leave or even take time away from the task at hand to take a s**t, etc, etc.

Hell, the bosses can even turn off the lights in the workplace to save electricity!

Slaves will no longer be needed. To put it bluntly; you and I babe, along with the whole human race, will become obsolete.

Robots are rapidly learning how to make more decisions for themselves, and now more and more of them are leaving the lab and are going to work in factories, warehouses, hospitals, and offices. UN calls for ‘rapid deployment’ of international troops in Mali

The UN Security Council has called for “rapid deployment” of international forces in Mali to combat Islamist militants in the north of the country. It comes as insurgents have seized the key city of Konna as they move south.

“This serious deterioration of the situation threatens even more the stability and integrity of Mali and constitutes a direct threat to international peace and security,” Security Council President Masood Khan said in a statement following an emergency meeting on Thursday evening.

Given the latest developments in the West African country, the members of the UNSC “expressed their determination to pursue the full implementation” of its resolutions on Mali, in particular Resolution 2085, adopted in December, which authorizes the deployment of over 3,000 African-led international troops. . . . We continue to add to our research archives, Robotics presenting the robot geeks working towards a perfect robot. 

My research indicates that after the elitists Controllers finds their own safe habitat (underground,  back side of the moon or deep in space, or what ever) and they set in motion their planned “population control” they want service robots to replace humans to work for them. They have learned that “humankind as servants doesn’t work so well… they want to eat,be paid, cause problems  outside the Bilderburg meetings etc..

My research indicates they see the answer “to that human problem”  is robots… 24 hrs work, no complaints. no breaks and they don’t smoke that ant-establishment marijuana. . . . EDITOR

Robot Vision: Muscle-Like Action Allows Camera to Mimic Eye Movement

ScienceDaily (July 5, 2012) — Using piezoelectric materials, researchers have replicated the muscle motion of the human eye to control camera systems in a way designed to improve the operation of robots. This new muscle-like action could help make robotic tools safer and more effective for MRI-guided surgery and robotic rehabilitation.

Key to the new control system is a piezoelectric cellular actuator that uses a novel biologically inspired technology that will allow a robot eye to move more like a real eye. New ‘Soft’ Motor Made From Artificial Muscles

Perhaps the earliest public demonstration of an electric motor,” writes a team of researchers from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, “involved the automatic rotation of a turkey on a spit over a fire” at a party put on by Benjamin Franklin in 1749. Franklin’s electrostatic motor was self-commutating, meaning that it was able to provide a continuous torque while it turned without requiring external electronics to control its progress.

Using artificial muscles, hyper-elastic materials that expand when a charge is applied, the New Zealand team has made a prototype for a self-commutating artificial muscle motor that does not require external electronics or hard metal parts. The researchers describe the device in a paper accepted to the American Institute of Physics’ journal Applied Physics Letters.

The team’s proof-of-concept motor is controlled with carbon-based switches whose resistances change when they are compressed, which activates artificial muscles that rotate a shaft. . . . Read Complete Report

In prototypes, 18 layers of carbon fiber, Kapton (a plastic film), titanium, brass, ceramic, and adhesive sheets have been laminated together in a complex, laser-cut design. UT Austin sociologist Sarah Brayne spent 2.5 years conducting field research with the LAPD as they rolled out Predpol, a software tool that is supposed to direct police to places where crime is likely to occur, but which has been shown to send cops out to overpolice brown and poor people at the expense of actual crimefighting.

Brayne observed and interviewed more than 75 cops to get a picture of how the job of policing is changed by big data-based “predictive” tools. She found that the tools changed police from a law-enforcement agency to an intelligence agency, concerned more with surveilling people who had not committed a crime than to interdicting or solving crimes in the world. . . .
