Wikipedia: The jaguar (Panthera onca) is a big cat, a feline in the Panthera genus, and is the only extant Panthera species native to the Americas. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Americas. The jaguar’s present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson) and the bootheel of New Mexico, the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century.

Note “. . .POSSIBLE breading population in Arizona..” ” . . the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century”.

Wildlife conservation groups are collaborating with a federal government agency to halt construction of the southern border wall by fudging science to claim that unimpeded trans-border corridors are essential to an “endangered species” with 99% of its population in Mexico. Under the plan, large areas of Arizona and New Mexico would be prohibited from erecting a border wall so that jaguars—which don’t even occupy the area—can roam back and forth between the two countries. More than ¾ million acres in Arizona and New Mexico would be designated as critical habitat for jaguars under the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA), which specifically states that critical habitat can only be designated for the United States. . . Minnesota has legalized some forms of medical marijuana. But now there’s a move to legalize it for recreational use as well. Several DFL lawmakers are proposing a law to do that. They’re also proposing a state constitutional amendment to make pot legal. Speakers include Bill authors Rep. Jason Metsa (DFL – Virginia) and Rep. Tina Liebling (DFL – Rochester) .

The bill is opposed by at least one key Republican— the GOP controls the legislature — and Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton opposes it.

If the legislature passes the constitutional amendment, it will go directly to the voters with or without Dayton’s signature.

Applebaum says realizes the bill isn’t likely to pass this session, but says it is a conversation starter about something that eventually has to change.

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard Moves To END Federal Prohibition Of Marijuana!

According to a recent post here on THEI we reported that a General Social Survey found that almost 60% of Americans believe that Marijuana should be legalized.  If you are one of those majority of our citizens I urge you to contact your Congressperson and demand that they support Congresswoman Gabbard  and Congressman Garret on this important issue. Tell them you support HR1227.

 It is the liquor and medical industry lobbyist who spend million of dollars to stop this movement that we are fighting.  Even if you are against recreational marijuana you must see the ridiculousness of keeping it a Schedule 1 classification which still means they are saying that it “has no medical benefits” and makes it illegal to even study the plant to find further medical uses, which I an sure there are many.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions wants to bring back the war on drugs, but on medical marijuana — which he says “has been hyped, maybe too much” — he may be too late.

Any minute now, medical marijuana will be legal in West Virginia. West Virginia! It’s a state that voted for Trump by nearly 42 points in November, and approved medical marijuana via its Republican legislature last week. Democratic Gov. Jim Justice (D) is open to signing it.

And West Virginia is on the tail end of the medical marijuana trend. Half the population of the country, spread out among some 28 states and the District of Columbia, can legally smoke some form marijuana for medical purposes. All but three states legalize some part of the drug found in the cannabis plant for medical cause (mostly the compound cannabidiol, which research suggests doesn’t get people high but can help with anxiety and pain). . . .
